We are an educational charity based in Cambridge operating across the East of England.  The services we provide include free computer access, computer training and information, accessibility advice, website hosting and design, and consultancy.  Many of our services are specially provided for disabled and disadvantaged people, but we welcome everybody

Cambridge Online has been announced as winners of a
TalkTalk Innovation in the Community Award 2008
and described as one of the UK's most exciting charity projects at a ceremony at the House of Lords

Speaking after the event Andy Lake (Chair of Cambridge Online) said, "We are thrilled to have
received this award - it is a real boost to us, and confirmation that what we are trying to achieve
is recognised and supported."

The award has been given for a new Cambridge Online project which will see a website
dedicated to Switch Users.  Andrew Entecott (Chief Executive) explains, "We have several learners
who control a computer by using a single switch button - perhaps using their foot, head or a finger.  They often use the computer to access games, music videos and photo galleries.  Unfortunately,
software available for Switch Users is very limited, and often aimed at children.  Our bid for the Innovation Award is to develop an array of Switch Activities which adults worldwide can enjoy."

Andrew added, "209Radio also received an Innovation in the Community Award 2008, and it is great
that the Cambridge Charity Sector generated two winners from the 2,200 entries across the UK - Congratulations to the 209Radio team."
